By following these 10 tips you can get the best results possible, and ensure that you are prepared for your facial so you can relax and enjoy it.

1. Wear comfortable clothing

As you will be lying down it is a good idea to wear leisure clothes and nothing too restrictive.

There may be some residual oil left behind after your massage so please be mindful of the clothes you wear to your appointment.

If you need to come from work bring along a change of clothes.

2. Tie up long hair

If you have long hair please wear it loosely tied with a scrunchie, so we can place your hair in a hair net and loosen your hair if required.

3. Leave hair unwashed

As there might be a little oil residue in your hair line please consider arriving with unwashed hair as you will probably need to wash it after your facial.

4. Attend wearing no make-up

Where possible, please arrive at your appointment wearing no makeup or sunscreen.

If you are coming from work or a function, please consider wearing a non-waterproof mascara on the day of your appointment.

5. Stop all ‘at-home’ facial treatments

For best results we recommend that you stop all ‘at-home’ skin treatments & masks the week before and any exfoliation treatments up to 2 days before your facial treatments.

You can still complete your daily skin care routine as normal.

6. Rest your skin

Rest your skin in the week leading up to your facial by trying to stay out of the sun & wind and away from self-tanning solution for up to 7 days before your facial.

7. Know your skin type

So we can set up all products we need for your facial ahead of time, it is really helpful for us to know your skin type.

If you aren’t sure of your skin type please follow the link below and complete this questionnaire and text us the answer.

8. Facial Waxing

Any facial waxing should be arranged at least 2 days prior.

Getting a facial should be done after your waxing appointment and arrange a minimum of 48 hours prior to your facial as waxing not only removes all hair on the skin’s surface, it also removes dead skin cells which can increase sensitivity to certain products.

9. Photograph your skincare

So, we can get a better understanding of what you are using on your skin at home, please photograph and email us your skincare products 48 hours prior to your facial appointment.

10. Hydration

It is important to drink some water prior to your facial but it is most important to drink lots of water afterwards.

Staying hydrated will help flush out toxins, prevent dehydration, and help leave your skin with an inner glow.

Now that you know how to prepare for your upcoming facial all you have to do is arrive on time on the day!
